How can I determine what line count is good for my image?
Higher line counts will produce finer images and finer piles, which is necessary for images like portraits, photographs, or classical fine art. Lower line counts rugs are thicker and heavier. They are good enough for broad line art like abstract art, pop art or modern art.
Do you have a catalog for me to choose an image from?
Any image that you can imagine is in our catalog. They can be any art prints, photos, family symbols, cultural icons and business logos.... . You can crop a portion of an image, change the color theme, add a boarder or a signature, or anything creative you can think of, and we will then replicate it to a 100% silk, hand-knotted, museum-quality hanging rug tapestry in three to four months. When you get the rug tapestry, you will feel that the time you spend on searching for a perfect image for a rug tapestry is worthwhile. You can also let us know what kind of image you are looking for, we may be able to help you find the one that fits your special needs.
Can
I order rug tapestries with different sizes from
the portfolio?
Yes. You can order
any size, or crop the image to suit your particular
location.
Can I add my signature and the year on the rug
tapestry?
Sure. This is completely custom made. You can
add anything to rug tapestries. You can add a signature
or words on the rug tapestry. Please specify the
colors you want and the location of the signature
or words on the rug tapestry.
What is KPSI?
KPSI stands for knots per square inch.
How can I order?
You can log onto our website: www.artisansrugtapestry.com, click on Order, fill out the order forms, specify the size
and line counts you want (e.g. 3’ x 6’,
200lines), submit it online. You have the options of choosing
an image from our website portfolio or providing
your own image. You can upload an image online.
However, due to the color differences from different
monitors and printers, it is best that you provide
a hard copy or specify the exact colors you would
like. To be accurate, use Pantone color codes
available at any art supply stores. For example,
you can specify that you like to have 505 for
the image background and 426 for the boarder.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us contact@aritsansrugtapestry.com. Orders will be processed upon the transaction
of the online payment or the clearance of
the check and the receipt of the artwork. Make
checks payable to: ART, send checks to ART, P.O.Box 0852, Los
Gatos, CA 95030, USA
How long will it take to custom make an
artistic hanging rug?
It takes about 3 months to produce a small to
medium size rug tapestry (less than 20 ft²),
and up to 5 months for a large size (more than
20 ft²). It also depends on the line counts
and how complicated the artwork is.
Why should I wait so long to get what I want?
Unlike the massive production of machine made
products, our artisans have to make knots one
by one. To ensure the consistence of the knots,
normally only one artisan will be responsible
for a certain rug tapestry. There is no way to speed
up the production process or massive produce the
product. Consider this as a lifetime investment
worth waiting a little longer to receive your
personalized, one-of-a-kind wall decoration. Instead
of getting something that everybody else can get
on the market, it is well worth it to wait for
3-5 months to get the exact art that you are dreaming
of and that you will enjoy forever and pass
on to future generations with ever appreciating
value.
What is your return policy?
100% custom satisfaction is our goal. If you are
not happy with the product, just send it back
and we will remake it for you or give you a full
refund.
